First Data engaged Donyati to help address multiple business needs related to maximizing the effectiveness of their existing Hyperion-based Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) processes. This current state architecture consists of numerous software products which must work in tandem to provide the business with the data needed to effectively analyze and make decisions that lead to overall success and growth. Each of these systems requires regular updates due to changing business needs, new report requirements, system or infrastructure changes, and version upgrades that required manual labor to execute.
In an effort to reduce risk and minimize costs, First Data wanted to automate the back-end support processes for its EPM suite. This consisted of having “lights out” processing of data feeds, interfaces between systems including daily backups for all their Hyperion applications as well as readily available technical and functional expertise for day to day operations. Beyond the daily operations, First Data also required a long-term partner who was familiar with their unique needs to provide guidance for future upgrades and enhancements.
After considering their options, First data determined that a Managed Services agreement was the most efficient way to address their IT business needs. They selected Donyati as their partner in this model because of our team’s extensive experience with Oracle’s Hyperion and our team’s ability to consistently deliver timely results on budget. In filling this role, Donyati provides First data with complete oversight and execution of backups, patching, performance monitoring, and infrastructure support. Beyond providing daily support, our team also provides project management and functional support for any project-based work related to First Data’s EPM suite.
With Donyati’s Managed Services in place, First Data now has automated loads, archived backups for a prescribed number of days, and consolidations with high level validation of all data feeds and interfaces without the need for a large, in-house support staff. This service also provides First Data with technical and functional resources for helping them address their day to day needs and issue as they present themselves.
